Well, Diablo IS back, however, it’s still in book form for now. Blizzard announced a trilogy, aptly named The Sin War. Richard A. Knaak is behind the project.

If you ask me, it doesn’t get clearer than that. The books are a warm up to an Diablo 3 announcement, trailer, and everything we’ve been waiting for. Just remember to keep your fingers crossed! 2007 is just a few months away.
Update: Richard A. Knaak will have an open IRC discussion on the 23rd about the Diablo trilogy. Some say the books are intended to provide Diablo 3 with a plotline.
Update: a new Starcraft book will be out in May which is hopefully good news for Starcraft fans waiting for Starcraft 2.
Please do not turn Diablo into solely MMO. If it is possible just add the option for players who desire to play the game on the internet or vice versa. I think there are a lot of funs who prefer to play solo, particularly old funs that have been playing the game since day one.

Customizable charecters, more variety of gear. Make the game gold based (Like wow, rather then SoJ/HR based), Slightly better graphics, but keep the camara as it is.
Add a mount for higher level charecgters (to allow them to run faster) kinda like energy shield, or whatnot.
Why don’t you just call it WoW2 with those requests…
Diablo 3 should be free for online play. MUST remain soloable and for any god ’s sake it must remain totally diablo like and not adopt ANY WoW bullshit… Not even character customization. 1)Those looks were authentic and perfect. From Diablo 1 heroes to those of LoD, they were far beyond the skill of amateur visage creation. 2)Some classes are gender specific. Sounds gay to have a female barbarian or female necromancer around. Sorry but that ’s the truth. Why mess with character customisation when it is already perfect and as good as hell the way it already is??? Besides running options like unique boots that boost speed and/or skills like leap attack and teleport, makes a mount seem TOO slow for travelling around the Sanctuary. Diablo 2 is just a flawless masterpiece the way it is. Few games remain active nonetheless after SO many years from their release and the proof is its active community over ALL these years. According to my opinion, 3 should be really close to 2. Why change something when its already the most classic/awesome RPG that has ever been created and has set standards for the entire gaming genre? To hell with WoW. Cut this bullshit full of amateur childidiotic inhabitants and move on to diablo! (those who play it will agree to my last sentence.-)
And something more. After 11 years, if you try to play diablo 1 on battlenet, you will find some people online. There are even beggars. Imagine… after 11 YEARS!!! My bet is that WoW will not live to see THIS much glory. YARR!!

Im sure that the Blizzard guys know what they’re talking about. Both the classis style that D1 &2 had were near perfect, yet if they feel that it should be more like a 3rd paerson (Oblivion,Rune)then so be it.However ,should DIII be anything like Loki then they should just kill themselves(the game engine and graphics totally suck, not to ention the art ambience- a disaster). I completely agree with Necronomicon that if they only make an online DIII –then not only will I NOT buy it – i won’t even play it on a ripped version so easy to find these days.The ambience, lighting etc. on D1 & D2 were dark,omnious and simply COOl. The way they should remain.Leave thet Neverwinter bullcrap to those BlackIsle sellouts.There should be no customizable looks.There is a whole lineage of Diablo worshippers dating back to 95.I’m now 19 year old and trust me – I know what Im talking about. Diabo is probably the only ,THE ONLY series that has remained kindred to itself.Don’t turn the only COOL RPG left into a WoW type.Sales will be bigger this way.There is ofcourse the option that they could make a single and internet-gaming capable Diablo III.Can’t wait-but if the game needs more work-I’ll gladly wait.

Diablo III should keep its Darkness Gore and maybe more sexuality with same camera view or similar,i wouldnt mess with character customization. All the rakness will set it apart from childish WOW if they make right in my opinion
